Ronald "Ronnie" McClain

Ronald "Ronnie" McClain, 64, of Athens, Georgia, born March 18, 1959, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023, after a hard fought battle with COVID pneumonia.

Ronnie is predeceased by his parents James F. and Ann R. McClain. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Fran, his daughter Nikki and husband Jeff Culpepper, daughter Lauren and husband Todd Morris, daughter Megan and husband Garrett Lovelace. His brother Gary and sister-in-law Kim McClain. Grandchildren Eli Morris, Devin Clarke, and Madi Kate Lovelace.His nieces Sarah Smith and Hannah Binkley.

Ronnie was born in Athens, GA. He graduated from Oconee County High School and attended the University of Georgia. He was a lifelong Georgia Bulldog fan. Ronnie was good at many things; woodworking, working with his hands, and making people laugh were at the top. He was the quiet one in the room, but then as soon as he opened his mouth, the funniest.

Ronnie loved spending time with his girls, his grandchildren, and the love of his life, Fran. All that had the pleasure of knowing him will miss him dearly.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 25, 2023 at 11AM at Lord and Stephens West Chapel.

Family and friends will gather following the memorial service at 1220 Ivywood Drive, Athens, GA 30606.
