Linda N. White

Our sweet Linda went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, on December 7, 2022. She had endured a prolonged and extreme health challenge, where her husband, Charles was her devoted caregiver for many years.

Linda met Charles when she was 15 and he was 16 at the Athens Farmers Market. This began a love story that they shared for the next 62 years. This love story bore much fruit. They raised 3 daughters, whom they loved with everything they had. Linda was known for her kindness that she expressed to everyone she met.

She ended her professional career as co-manager with Charles at Iris Place. It was an occupation that they both thought of as an honor.

She will be greatly missed by the love of her life: Charles Olin White; her 3 daughters: Stacy Bartel, Jennifer Johnson and Leah Baumgardner; son-in-laws: Kelly Bartel, Drew Johnson (who greeted her in heaven), and Joshua Baumgardner; grandchildren: Ashley Bartel, Savannah Johnson (Thomas), Annabelle Bartel, Luke Bartel, Gabriel Baumgardner, Raney Baumgardner, Graham Baumgardner, Jacob Johnson, Chloe Johnson; great-grandchildren: Penelope Johnson and Charles Johnson; sister Vickie Tolbert and brother in law Jerry Tolbert; and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Funeral services for our beautiful wife, mama, grandmama and great-grandmama, Linda Nell White will be held on Saturday, December 10 at Lord and Stephens, East Chapel at 2:00 pm with Pastor Greg Jennings officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until 2:00. Interment will follow the service at Arnoldsville Cemetery.
