Charles Edward Andrews

Charles Edward Andrews, cherished husband, father, grandfather and brother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at the age of 86.

Born in Crawford, he was a son of the late John Boyd Andrews and Lena Mae Murray Andrews. Mr. Andrews was Regional Vice President at NCR and following his retirement, he returned to Oglethorpe County and started a cattle farm. He was very active in his community and with the Oglethorpe County Rotary Club. Mr. Andrews was also a longtime member of Winterville First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Elizabeth Zatuchny.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Jean Andrews; two daughters, Cindy Zatuchny and Becky Morrissey (Bud); two siblings, Randall Andrews (Betty) and Aline Mattox and six grandchildren, Rachel Zatuchny, Asher Zatuchny, Zachary Morrissey (Eleanor), John Morrissey, Olivia Morrissey and Michael Morrissey.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 17, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, East. Interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
