Winterville - Zilla Martin Borders, 96, died November 20, 2006.
A lifelong resident of this area, she was a daughter of the late John and Leola Ogles Chambers, and the widow of Mike Pope Martin and L. C. Borders. She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 24, 2006, at 2:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Rev. Charles Vaughn will officiate. Interment will be in Winterville Cemetery.
Survivors include five children, Marty Cox of Hartwell, GA, Lucy Meyer of Winterville, Miles E. Martin of Winterville, Pat (Jerry) LaFontaine of Athens, and Sharon (David) Martin of Athens; fifteen grandchildren; a number of great and great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
