Zelma Dean (Webster) Hamby

March 25, 1932 — April 3, 2022

Zelma Dean Hamby, 90, died on Sunday, April 3, 2022 with her family at her side. Born in Athens, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Edward L. Webster and Lucille O. Smith Webster and sister to the late Ed Webster, Jim Webster and Liz Norris. Zelma was a member of Prince Avenue Baptist Church where she was active in the XYZ Club.   She enjoyed going to the Oconee County Senior Center.

Survivors include her son: James (Karen) Hamby of Statham; grandchildren: Ryan (Kimber) Hamby and Jason Hamby; step grandchildren: Kheri (Dan) Blake, Kaleb (Ashlan) Curl and Kamryn Curl.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 11AM at Oconee Chapel, 2370 Hog Mountain Road, Watkinsville,  GA with Pastor Doug Nix officiating. Interment will follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 on Tuesday, April 5, 2022 at Oconee Chapel.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Oconee County Senior Center, 3500 Hog Mountain Road, Watkinsville, GA 30677.
