Winston Miles

Winston Morrow Miles, 80 of Hull, passed away April 21, 2016. He was the son of the late, E.J & Annie Morrow Miles; he was also preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Miles and brother & sister, Grady Miles and Dorothy Williams.
Mr. Miles retired from and worked at the U S Navy School in the naval supply, before which he was a sailor with the US Navy aboard many ships including the USS Thetis Bay, USS Shangri-La, USS Saratoga and the USS Siera. Mr. Miles had a very extensive career in the US Navy and was in the Vietnam War as well. Mr Miles was an avid catfish fisherman.
Memorial Graveside services is April 24, 2016 2:00pm at Athens Memory Gardens with Rev. Eric Buffington officiating.
Survivors include: Son, Keith (Rachel)Miles of Valley, AL; sisters, Betty (Maurice) Adams of Tarboro, NC and Katherine Boyd of Lanett, AL and Marjorie (Johnny) Daniels of Valley, AL and a brother, Howard (Joan) Miles of Dadeville, AL; step sons, Larry (Laura) Freeman, Jr of Athens, GA and Robert (Tommie) Freeman of Carrollton, GA and neighbor, John Watson.
