Wilma W Griffeth

Watkinsville, GA - Wilma W. Griffeth, 79, died December 23, 2014.
Born in Watkinsville, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence Elmer and Frances McGuire Weatherford. She lived most of her life in Watkinsville, where in earlier years, worked for the City. Mrs. Griffeth was a member of Watkinsville First Christian Church where she sang in the choir. She also sang for numerous weddings and funerals through the years. She loved to read and was very devoted to her family.

Mrs. Griffeth was preceded in death by her son, Euell Dwayne "Griff" Griffeth, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Dwayne Griffeth; children, Gwendolyn Beach, Wilma Joy Griffeth, and George D. Griffeth; brother, Larry (Katherine) Weatherford; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Sunday, December 28, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel, EAST. Interment will follow at Athens Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM.
