William "Billy" Edward Watts, 72, died July 10, 2009.
A native of Upson County, GA, he was a son of the late James Edward and Grace Pearl Causey Watts and was preceded in death by two sons, Gregory Watson Watts and Brian Keith Watts. He retired from Continental Tire Company after forty years and was a veteran of the National Guard. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Apostolic Church for many years.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Pleasant Apostolic Church with Revs. Chuck Tatum, Michael Causey and Brandon Shanks officiating. Interment will be Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 2:00 PM in Lamar Memory Gardens, Barnesville, GA.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Watts; daughter, Linda (Bob) Shanks of Jackson, GA; son, Bruce (Michelle) Watts of Crawford, GA; sister, Doris (George) Meadows of Barnesville, GA; brother, Roland (Carol) Watts of Cartersville, GA; three grandchildren, Brandon (Amanda) Shanks, Eddie Watts and Gabbie Watts.
Pallbearers will be Morris Buchanan, Kevin Buchanan, Allen Buchanan, Brian Boswell, Joshua Boswell, Adam Boswell, Kenny Boswell, Shawn Watts and Jason Short.
Honorary pallbearers will be Levi Taylor, Ethan Taylor, Eric Tatum, and Josh Wheeless.
Lord and Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
