William Franklin Walls

William Franklin Walls, 99, passed away Sunday, November 9, 2014. He was born May 21, 1915, the son of the late Homer Cobb and Cora Campbell Walls and stepson of Zelia Trotter Walls. Mr. Walls was preceded in death by his wife, Lorine Walls, a daughter, Dianne Bishop; son, Larry Walls; son-in-laws, Dennis Gipson and Victor Huff; sisters, Maybelle Roberts and Nellie Romero; and brothers Howard Walls, H.L. Walls, and Crawford Walls.
Survivors include his children, Helen (Donald) Bond, Ila, David (Brenda) Walls, Hull, Joyce Huff, Hull, Barbara Gipson, Carnesville, Eugene Walls, Hull, and Deborah (Ken) Riddleberger, Jefferson; son-in-law, Wayne Bishop, Hull; sisters Dora Brock, Ruby Greenway, Illa Horton, Jean King, and brother Tom Walls; ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 12, at Bethel Holiness Church in Ila with the Revs. Marty Smith, Stevie Coomes, and Larry Dyer officiating. Interment will follow at the Bethel Holiness Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 9 P.M. on Tuesday, November 11.
Pallbearers will be Lamar Bond, Tracy Gipson, Mark Gipson, Trent Holman, Adam Bishop, Rodney Baker, and Brett Simonson.
