William D. "billy" Patman

Arnoldsville - William D. Patman (Billy), 77, of Arnoldsville, died Wednesday, July 8, 2009 after a courageous battle with lung cancer. A native of Oglethorpe County, he was the son of the late Will Tom and Lucille Patman. He was preceded in death by a brother, Lamar. After his retirement from the Soil Conservation Service he remained active in his pursuit and enjoyment of various business endeavors.
Survivors include three children, Frank (Karen) Patman of Crawford, Sandra (Larry) Rogers, Randy (Linda) Patman all of Arnoldsville; a sister, Selma Hedden, of Tucker: 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 12th from 2p.m. to 3p.m. at Mt. Pleasant Apostolic Church, Comer Road (Hwy. 22), Crawford with a memorial service immediately following at 3p.m. at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Mary's Hospice House or the charity of your choice.
