William O'Bannon

William Lebaron Pierce O'Bannon, age 29, of Athens, passed away on November 28, 2024. He was born in Lawrenceville, GA, to David L. O'Bannon and Caroline Bucky-Beaver. William's nurturing spirit was evident in his role as a volunteer youth leader at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Athens, GA where he made a meaningful impact on the lives of many young people.

William is remembered lovingly by his parents and his grandfather, Lance Bucky, as well as his many cousins. William was preceded in death by his brother, Chase O'Bannon, whose memory remains cherished by the family.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 7, 2024, starting at 12:30 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 706 Whitehead Road, Athens, GA 30606. A service honoring his life will follow at 1:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations made to the LDS Philanthropies Humanitarian Fund, the Athens Area Humane Society, or the Chattooga River Conservancy as these were all very meaningful entities to William.

The family wishes to express their gratitude for the love and support they have received during this difficult time. Arrangements are being handled by Lord and Stephens, WEST.
