William Casey "W.C." Moncus

William Casey "W.C." Moncus, 90, of Winterville, passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018.
Born in Talladega, Alabama, he was a son of the late Irvin Marshall Moncus and Mary Irene Cole Moncus. Mr. Moncus retired from the United States Marine Corps after 21 years of service. He was a member of the United States Marine Corps League and the Purple Heart Club. Mr. Moncus was also a member of Sonlight Baptist Church and most importantly, he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Moncus.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Lowe-Moncus; children, Tina (Rodney) Rhodes, Brenda (Perry) Byrd and Wayne Moncus; step-children, Marlyn (Charley) O'Kelley and Andy (Tina) Lowe; grandchildren, Melissa, Jason, Sydney, Madison, Preston, Mickey, Shannon, Alex, Skyler, Teagan and Isaac and one sister, Sadie Marcello.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Lord and Stephens, Danielsville. Interment will follow at Danielsville Memorial Gardens. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the United States Marine Corps League and the Purple Heart Club. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm.
