Colbert - Mr. William Howell "Bill" Mattison , 72, died June 20, 2011. He was the son of the late Winston and Lawrence Mattison.
Mr. Mattison was active in Colbert Baptist Church. He was an avid horseman and a member of the Circuit Riders Christian Fellowship Ministry and Cowboy Poetry through the Georgia Cowboy Poets.
Funeral service will be Thursday , June 23, 2011 at 10:00am at Colbert Baptist Church. Mr. Mattison will lie in state for one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, June 22, 2011 from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM. Interment will be in Colbert Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Nadine Mattison; son and daughter in law, Ken (Leah) Mattison; sister, Marie (Ronald) Goza of Virginia; brother, Raymond Mattison of Winder; grandson, William "Will" Howell Mattison II and granddaughter, Kate Mattiso; several nieces and nephews.
Lord & Stephens, Danielsville is in charge of arrangements.
