William Carse "Billy" Kidd

Billy Kidd, 94, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013.
Born on April 10, 1918, Billy was the son of the late Gip and Belle Kidd. He was the last surviving member of his family, being preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. Billy loved farming, hunting and fishing. He was a water witch and could find water anywhere it was needed. He was a member of Vineyard Creek Baptist Church for 76 years.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Frances Kidd; sons: Billy Ray Kidd, William Thomas Kidd and Tim Kidd; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 24, 2013 at 3PM at Lord & Stephens Danielsville Chapel with Rev. Lynn Kellum officiating. Burial will follow at Vineyard Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons: Paul, Fred and Stevie Kidd, Chris Wood along with Richard McGinnis and Hershel Dalton. Collins Volunteer Fire Department will serve as honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Saturday at the funeral home.
