William "Bill" Harshbarger

William "Bill" Harshbarger, 89, died April 18, 2013.
A native of Petersburg, PA, he was a son of the late James I. and Effie W. Harshbarger. Mr. Harshbarger worked in the Poultry Science Department at Penn State and Ohio State and retired from the University of Georgia as Farm Manager of the Poultry Science Department. He was a veteran of the Army Air Force with service during World War II. He was a member of Tuckston United Methodist Church for many years.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 1:00 PM at Tuckston United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-seven years, Lois Harshbarger; two children, Diana K. Harshbarger (Felix) Jones of Warner Robins, GA and Scott Lee (Maria) Harshbarger of Winterville; sister, Verna Harshbarger Foster of McVeytown, PA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Athens Area Emergency Food Bank, 640 Barber Street, Athens, GA 30601.
