Crawford - William Guy Mauldin, 55, died Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at his residence.
Born in Clarke County, he was the son of the late Roy Mauldin and Floretta Freeman Howard and maternal grandson of the late William and Molly Freeman. He served his country in the US Army and had worked for RSE Enterprises for ten years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards with the Over The Hill Gang.
Survivors include his son, Michael Mauldin of Crawford, daughter Leann Mauldin of Athens, fiancÈ, Tina Compton, step mother, Okalee Mauldin of Commerce, sisters; Pat Shedd and Pam Barrentine both of Crawford, Terri Hanley of Commerce, Starr Camp of Marietta, brothers; Cecil Mauldin of Crawford, J.B. Howard of Comer, grand children; Mallory Mauldin, Madison Mauldin, Makaylee Barber, Brylie Barber and William Ayden Barber.
Funeral services will be held, Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 2PM at Lord & Stephens Crawford Chapel with Rev. Chuck Tatum officiating. Pallbearers will be W.R. Long, Don Christy, Tracy Wilson, Bo Huff, James West and Kenneth Smith. Burial will be held at Winterville Cemetery.
