Summerville - William E. Glenn, 80, died February 15, 2006.
A native and former resident of Oglethorpe County, he was a son of the late Gene and Jennie Lou Glenn. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served in World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a former operator of Georgia-Carolina Quarry in Sandy Cross.
Funeral services will be Friday, February 17, 2006, at 3:00 PM at Glade Baptist Church with Rev. George Ormsbee officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter, Dale Yvonne Plummer of Summerville, GA; son, Troy D. Glenn of Watkinsville; two sisters, Laurie Paul of Sandy Cross and Dorothy Nell Glenn of Cocoa Beach, FL; three brothers, Gilmer Glenn, Douglas Glenn and Larry Glenn, all of Atlanta; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Troy D. Glenn, John Plummer, Russ Paul, Dennis Paul, Derrick Paul and Glen Paul.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Bishop and Waymon Bishop, Jr.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
