William Stanley "Stan" Fricks

William Stanley Fricks, 64, died Monday, January 23, 2017. A native of Toccoa, he was the son of the late Cline Thomas Fricks, Sr. and Vivian Maxine Fricks. Stan was a longtime baseball coach and teacher. He had served as head baseball coach in Rockmart, Rockdale, most recently retiring after 15 years as teacher and head coach from The Oconee County High School. He received his Bachelors and Masters from UGA and his Specialist Degree from Lincoln Memorial College. He was a member of the Dugout Club. Survivors include his wife, Sandra S. Fricks, children: Melissa Brooke Fricks of Watkinsville, Benjamin "Ben" Thomas Fricks of Athens; brother: Tommy (Kathy) Fricks of Toccoa; sisters: Yvonne (Mike) Mooney of Lakemont, GA, Yvette (fiance-Ken Gatzke) Tackacs of New Port Richey, FL and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Oconee Presbyterian Church at 2PM with interment following at Evergreen Memorial Park.
