William Alford "Frog" Fowler, 72, died Wednesday, March 23, 2016. Born in Whitehall, Georgia, he was the son of the late Vester Lee Fowler and Mattie Elizabeth Smith Fowler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Duvall Fowler and brothers, J.T. and Carl Fowler. He was the former owner and operator of Frogs Pest Control and Frogs Bait Shop. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict and was a Volunteer Fireman in Oconee County for more than 20 years. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved singing karaoke and could play any instrument. Survivors include his three sons: Bill (Lynn) Fowler of Farmington, Jay (Stephanie) Fowler of Commerce, Michael (Kim) Fowler of Bogart; siblings: Corrine Herring of Athens, Jr. Lee Fowler of Comer, Irene Moore of Hull, Maryann Bentley of Commerce, Diane McElroy of Hull, nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 25, 2016 at 1PM at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with Pastors Tim Boswell and Tim Hammond officiating. Burial will follow at Farmington Cemetery.
