William L Escoe

William L. Escoe, 77, died on Thursday, October 5, 2023. Born in Danielsville, GA he was the son of the late Andrew Jackson Escoe and Omie Burdette Escoe and brother to the late Shirley Morgan, Dot Manders, and Jack Escoe. Mr. Escoe served in the US Army and had worked for Surplus Unlimited Boating Supplier.  He enjoyed fishing, hiking, zip lining, water parks, golfing, and spending time in the mountains. Survivors include his lifelong partner, Virginia Wade; daughter Sherry (Hal Landers) Pope; sister: Janice Escoe Richardson; brother: Sammy Escoe and two grandchildren: Savannah Pope and Ayden Pope. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 9, 2023 at 11AM at Oconee Chapel, 2370 Hog Mountain Road, Watkinsville, GA, Rev. Randy Crowe will officiate. Interment will follow in Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM prior to the service.
