Crawford - William Shayne Erwin, 46, died Monday, June 15, 2009 at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Born in Athens, Shayne lived all of his life in Oglethorpe. He was the son of the late Carlton Erwin, Sr. and Jackie Deese Erwin. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John "Johnny" Franklin Erwin.
Survivors include his girlfriend of 16 years; Kittie Clayton; two brothers: Sam Erwin of Winterville, Alan Erwin of Lexington; sisters: Shelly Mahon of Winterville, Ellen Myers of Winterville; 11 nieces and nephews; step sons: Mark and John Clayton and 4 step grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held 4PM on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at Son Light Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Nathan Palmer officiating.
