William Howard Cunningham, 82, of Lexington, died Monday, July 10, 2006.
Born in Oglethorpe County, he was the son of the late George Jefferson Cunningham and Margaret Abernathy Adams Cunningham and brother to the late John Mell Cunningham. Mr. Cunningham was a veteran of WW II and retired from Southern Bell with 38 years of service. He was a member of Lexington Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Henrietta Howard Cunningham; son and daughter in law, Gregory Howard Cunningham and Elizabeth M. Cunningham; daughter and son in law, Linda Cunningham Cupp and Chester Cupp of Watkinsville; grandchildren, Douglas Graham, Matthew Craham, Danielle (Jason) Franklin; great grandchildren, Justin and Dylan Franklin and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Lord and Stephens Oglethorpe Chapel, Crawford, Wednesday, July 12, 2006 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM. Graveside services will follow at Clark Cemetery, Lexington with Revs.Curtis Hammond and Tim Adams officiating.
Pallbearers will be Douglas Graham, Matthew Graham, Jason Franklin, Don Christy, Meadow Maxey, Johnny Michael, James A. Paul and Ralph Peterman.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Clark Cemetery Fund or a charity of choice.
