Joe Clanton, 81, husband of Nellie Stone Clanton, died Saturday, July 19, 2014.
A native of Ellabell, GA, he was the son of the late William Joseph Clanton, Sr. and Josie Bell Buckner Clanton. Joe was the owner and operator of Joe Clanton Tile. He was of the Baptist faith and member of the Landrum Masonic Lodge No. 48.
In addition to his wife of 59 years, survivors include four children: Joey (Cindy) Clanton of Rome, GA, Deborah (Timm) Wilda of Trinity, NC, Lori (Keith) Fagan of Lake Geneva, FL, Chris (Heather) Clanton of Watkinsville, GA; sister: Joann Love of Guyton, GA, thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at 3PM at The Cross Loganville with Pastor Tim Cash officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to The Cross Loganville, 3275 Tig Knight, Loganville, GA 30052.
