William Thomas "Bill" Bray

William Thomas "Bill" Bray, 61, died Monday, July 20, 2015. A native of Athens, he was the son of the late Sara Ann Bray and Tommy Bray. Bill was a longtime resident of Oglethorpe County and member of Maxeys Christian Church. He served in the US Navy and has been employed for 30 years at Certain Teed. Bill truly loved his canine companions. Survivors include his great aunt, Sara Ferguson, cousins, Harry and Maureen Bray and Jack and Sylvia Bray of Virginia Beach, VA and close family friend, Sally Mae Gresham. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 24, 2015 at 11AM at Maxeys Christian Church with Rev. Len Bernat officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Maxeys, GA. Lord & Stephens East is in charge of arrangements.
