William Lee Benton, 43, died November 7, 2006.
A native of Clarke County, he was a son of Harold L. Benton, Sr. of Jefferson and the late Yvonne J. Benton. Mr. Benton was a 1990 graduate of the University of Georgia. He was a member of St. James United Methodist Church, where he played on the men's softball team and coached women's softball. He was a rodeo enthusiast.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 10, 2006, at 11:00 AM at St. James United Methodist Church. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors in addition to his father include his wife, Angela; two brothers, Harold L. "Buddy" Benton, Jr. of Lawrenceville, GA and David J. Benton of Jefferson.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST, is in charge of arrangements.
