William “Bill” Baker of Bishop, GA passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2019 at the age of 85.
Bill was born October 12, 1934 in Kinston, AL, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William O. Baker. After high school, he attended Troy University where he graduated with honors. Most of Bill’s career was spent working at the Georgia Rehabilitation Center in Warm Springs, GA. Many knew him as a brilliant artist, an avid fisherman, and master wood craftsman. Also, Bill proudly served in the United States Army.
Bill is survived by his wife, Anne; son, Jeff Baker of Manchester; daughter, Kelley Moon (Joe) of Canton; daughter, Samantha Baker of Bishop; his grandson, Conner Watts (Kelly) and great granddaughter, Veronica Watts of Roswell; sister, Betty Ray of Valley, AL.
The Funeral Service will be held 10:00am Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Oconee Chapel, located at 2370 Hog Mountain Road, Watkinsville, GA. Burial will follow the service at Oconee Memorial Park.
