Philomath - William Allen Armour, 80, died Tuesday, January 31, 2006 at University Hospital, Augusta, GA.
Born in Philomath, GA he was the son of the late William Mack and Ethel Harrison Armour and was also preceded in death by his daughter, Ethel Frances Armour and sister Betty Jayne A. Lynn. He had attended Carters Grove Baptist Church and loved collecting and selling old cars.
Survivors include his daughters; Tina Armour of Stone Mountain, Leta Armour Vess of Pinehurst, NC, sisters; Kathryn A. Tuggle of Union Point, GA, Lillian A. Mapp of Dayton, OH, Fannie A. Thompson of Mt. Airy, GA, Sarah A. Field of Winston, GA, Martha A. Margolin of Dallas, GA, brothers; Max H. Armour of Philomath, GA, J. Norman Armour of Crawford, GA and grandchildren, Joe, Katharine, Mary and Aidan.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 2, 2006 at Lord & Stephens Crawford Chapel with Dr. Thompson Holloman officiating. Burial will be at 3PM at Resthaven Garden of Memory, Decatur, GA.
