William Russell Allen

William Russell Allen, 90 of Winterville, passed away May 23, 2015 at his residence. He was a Gardener, Loved to hunt arrowheads and was an avid sportsman of all sports but especially, Football. Mr. Allen was a World War II veteran having served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Allen and his wife, moved to Georgia in 1986 from Ft. Pierce, Florida.
He was the son of the late Truman and Dova Allen, and was also preceded in death by his brother, Wayne E. Allen.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, May 28, 2015 1:30pm at Lord & Stephens, East chapel with Pastor Andy Homeyer officiating. The family will receive friends 12:00 until service time at the funeral home.
Survivors include: wife, Barbara Allen; son, "Rusty" William Russell Allen, Jr.; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family ask in lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Association, www.alz.org.
