Wilfred Eugene "Bill" Palmer

Bill Palmer, 79, husband of Willene Porterfield Palmer, died Wednesday, February 28, 2012.

Born in Cumming, GA, he was the son of the late George and Annie Wade Palmer and was also preceded in death by his brothers: Paul, Joe, Walter, Ed, Ernest and Leonard Palmer; sisters: Edith Caree, Pauline Seay and Dot Morris. He was a mechanic for Alexander Wood Products and member of Comer United Methodist Church.

Survivors in addition to his wife include his daughter and son in law: Terri and Terry Cleveland of Hartwell, GA; sister: Flora Brown of Colbert; grandchildren: Philip Cleveland, Caleb (Anna) Cleveland, Charity Cleveland.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 1, 2012 at 1PM at Lord & Stephens Danielsville Chapel with Rev. Nathan Palmer and his son in law, Rev. Terry Cleveland officiating. Burial will follow at Comer Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Hospice House.
