Wayne Loutrelle Stalvey

Wayne Loutrelle Stalvey. Sr., 92, of Athens, passed away on November 4, 2025. Born on August 28, 1932, he was the son of the late Stacey Stalvey and Lucille Causey Stalvey.

Wayne was a proud veteran of the United States Army, serving in the Korean War. He loved the Lord, gospel music, coffee, and having long conversations with those around him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle McNeill; granddaughter, Rebecca McNeill; siblings, Verne Stalvey, Pam Dudgeon.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Mildred Stalvey; sons, Trell Stalvey, Russel Stalvey; grandchildren, Cody Stalvey, Tyler Stalvey, Michael McNeill; great grandson, Alex McNeill; siblings, Rendal Stalvey, Angela Labruce, Debbie Oliver; son in law, Jim McNeill; daughter in law, Trina Stalvey; many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Lord & Stephens, WEST, Watkinsville with Cynthia Griffins officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
