Wayne A. Brown

Comer - Wayne Adams Brown age 68, died Thursday March 10, 2011. Mr. Brown was the son of the late Curtis Andrew and Alva Alleen Adams Brown. He was a native of Elbert Co. and was a member of the Comer Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Mr. Brown was retired from Georgia Power after 42 years and was currently employeed with Oglethorpe Co. Sheriffs office as a bailiff. He was a part time security officer with the Madison Co. court house.
Funeral services will be Sunday March 13, 2011 at the Comer Baptist Church at 3:00PM. Rev. Rodney Owens will officiate. Burial will follow at the Comer Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years Marion Seymour Brown; children, Lari Scarborough, Freda Atkinson(Jeff), David Brown(Kasie); sisters, Jean Scarborough, Annette Bond, and Sandra Andrew. Grandchildren, Ethan Scarborough, Jacob Scarborough, and Travis Atkinson.
Pallbearers will be Ethan Scarborough, Jacob Scarborough, Travis Atkinson, Don Glenn, Bryan Andrew, Jim Burch, and Robert Chandler. Honorary pallbearers will be the TEL Sunday School Class.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Comer Baptist Church Building Fund.
The family is at the residence and will recieve friends at Brown Chapel, Danielsville, Saturday from 6-8p.m.
