Walter "Stinky" Washington, Jr., 56, of Athens, died Thursday, August 20, 2015.
Born July 16, 1959 to Jessie (Major) and Walter (Maddie) Washington Sr. in Columbus, GA. He is survived by both parents and his loving wife Maricel "Marcie" Sabina Cid-Washington and daughter Lorrine Acosta-Washington, two grandchildren, Adrien and Tatiana Rivera, one sister in law, Leonor C. Prieto; mother in law, Gabina Suarez Cameo. He was preceded in death by one brother, Jeffrey Washington. He is also survived by his siblings Charlotte Whitaker (Sean) and her children James, Chloe, and Nicholas of Maryland; Sharon W. Walker and her children Julie, Jeremy and Jashon of Phenix City, AL; Eric (Charlotte) Washington and his children Eric Jr, Erica, Troy, Eric II and Christina of Stafford, VA; Kenny (Glenda); Audrey Jackson-Sanchez and her children Tujuanna, Jessica, Ashleigh and Mar'kia of Woodbridge, VA; Dorian Gunter; Richard Washington; and Angel Washington. As well as a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Cornerstone Church of God at 4:00 PM with Rev. Scott Sheppard officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, August 24, 2015 at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM.
