Walter Scott "Scott" Thompson

Walter Scott Thompson, 47, of Alma Ga died Thursday, May 1, 2014. Scott was born in Athens to Miriam Thompson and the late Charlie Walter Thompson.
Scott was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan and loving husband and father to his wife, Tara, and daughter Alexi. He is also survived by brothers Ricky Thompson (Peggy), and Stanley Thompson (Teresa), and in-laws Ervin and Carol Johnson.
The family will receive friends Sunday, May 4, from 6-8. Funeral service will be held Monday, May 5, at 11:00 AM at Lord and Stephens East chapel. Interment will follow at Gordons Chapel UMC cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Scott's name to Athens First Bank and Trust.
