W. T. Fields

W.T. Fields, Jr. went to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2013. The son of W.T. Fields, Sr. and Dianne Amos Fields he was born January 19, 1964 in Washington, GA.
W.T. was a 1982 graduate of Oglethorpe Co. High School. He served in the United States Air Force for 4 years stationed in San Antonio, TX; Denver, CO; and Minot, ND.
W.T. attended The University of Georgia. He earned an Associate of Science degree at Dickinson State College; an Associate in Science (Nursing) degree at The University of the State of New York; and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Kennesaw State University. W.T. was employed with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida.
In addition to his parents, W.T. is survived by his sister, Karen (Dale) Scoggins of Ila, GA; his brother, Michael (Gina) Fields of Lexington, GA; his daughter Laci (Cameron) Coates and grandson Finley Coates of Bowman, ND; his loving nieces and nephew, Katie, Brittany, Samantha and Justin. And his best friends, Wayne Gunn, Dr. Troy Spicer, John Gentry, and Kevin Sackenheim.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Susie Fields and Walter and Grace Houck Amos and his maternal aunt and uncles.
The family is at the home of his parents.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Nov. 19 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Lord and Stephens, East, Athens, GA and 1 hour prior to the service. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, East at 2 PM with the Rev. Griffeth Carithers, Rev. John McPherson and Dr. Troy Spicer officiating.
Pallbearers will be Shane Guest, Andrew Lovingood, Kevin Sackenheim, Edwin Sayer, Keyleum Smith, Lee Thaxton.
