Vivian Duncan Jones Bradberry, 79, died September 9, 2009 at St Mary's Hospice House following an extended illness.
Born in Oglethorpe County, she was the daughter of the late Emory Otis and Winona Duncan Jones and was the widow of James Curtis Bradberry. She was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Ann McDaniel and Ethel Bridges and a brother Grady Jones.
Survivors include her children, Mike and Joann Bradberry of Bogart, Scott and Patty Bradberry of Athens, Karla and Arlen Johnson of Ila and Kathy and Melvin Moon of Athens; brothers, Charles Jones and Clifford Jones of Winterville, Paul Jones of Watkinsville and Robert Jones of Danielsville; sisters, Dot Lovett of Commerce, Linda Smith, Carol Porterfield and Frances Burkhalter, all of Winterville; 9 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.
Funeral services will be Friday Sept. 11,2009 at 1:00PM at Lord and Stephens Chapel EAST with Rev. Andy Huff officiating. Interment will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Thursday Sept. 10, 2009 from 6-8 at the funeral home.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Association or American Cancer Society.
