Washington, GA - Virlyn Theola Henson, 86, died June 8, 2008.
Born in Madison County, she was the daughter of the late James David and Jessie Bell Gordon Meadow and was the widow of Grey Henson. Mrs. Henson was a former resident of Statham and Colbert and was a retired beautician. She was a member of Colbert Methodist Church. Mrs. Henson was a skilled craftsman, making quilts and porcelain dolls.
Graveside services will be Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 11:00 AM at Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include her son, Thomas Howard Henson(Janie) of Washington, 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to United Hospice, 435 Hawthorne Avenue, Suite 200, Athens, GA 30606.
