Watkinsville - Virginia J. Reese, 84, died January 3, 2006.
A native of Dodge County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Olin C. and Marie Jackson Jessup. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, Vivian R. Fort and Rev. Edward S. Reese. Mrs. Reese was retired, having worked at Millerís Department Store, and then Gibsonís Department Store. She was a member of Antioch Christian Church.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 6, 2006 at 2:00 PM at Antioch Christian Church with Revs. Steve Bryant and Franklin Shumake officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Survivors include seven children, Larry (Penny) Fort of Tignall, GA, Sandra (Butch) Lunceford of Warner Robins, GA, Kay Dykes, Ann (Roger) Smith, Cathy (Larry) Milligan, Joan (Max) Taylor, and Spence (Maria) Reese, all of Watkinsville; two sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Bobbit, Hilda (J.C.) Brown, all of Dublin; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Neal Fort, Anthony Lunceford, Kevin Perry, David Smith, Jeremy Waller, Dustin Taylor, and Christopher Reese.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Antioch Christian Church Leadership Sunday School Class.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
