Danielsville - Virginia Louise Moncus, 88, wife of W.C. Moncus, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at her residence.
Born in Louisville, KY, she was the daughter of the late George Jefferson and Mary Louise Craig Timmons. She was a member of Meadow Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. She loved working with children and was a wonder mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her first husband, T.A. MacDougald, and ten brothers and sisters.
In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughter, Marlyn OíKelley and her son-in-law Charles of Danielsville; step-daughters, Tina Rhodes and Brenda Byrd, both of Jacksonville, NC; grandchildren, Alex OíKelley, Shannon OíKelley, Melissa Rhodes, Madison Byrd and Sydney Byrd; great-grandchildren, Cord OíKelley, Elijah OíKelley and Hannah OíKelley.
Funeral services will be held 2PM, Saturday, July 29, 2006 at Lord & Stephens Danielsville Chapel with Rev. Hilton Purvis officiating. Burial will follow at Danielsville Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Friday, July 28, 2006 from 7 to 9 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Mike Woods, Alex OíKelley, Charles OíKelley, Donny Wethersbee, Richard Olson and Josh Huckaby.
