Athens - Violet Knox, 76, wife of the late David Knox, died Friday, January 12, 2007 at Athens Regional Medical Centers.
Born in Northern Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Fredrick Gailey and Florence Downing Gailey.
Survivors include her sons: David K. Knox of Athens, GA, Douglas Knox of Evans, GA; daughter: Angela Knox Primason of Westchester, NY; brother: Eric Gailey of Northern Ireland; five grandchildren: Miles Primason, Lily Primason, Christopher Knox, Henry Knox and Asia Chlopecka.
A memorial service was held Sunday, January 14, 2007 at 2:30PM at Lord & Stephens East Chapel with Rev. Sky Pratt officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Athens Canine Rescue, P. O. Box 7064, Athens, GA 30604.
Lord & Stephens, EAST chapel is in charge of arrangements.
