Violet Gail (Dudley) Harris

Violet Gail Dudley Harris, 75, wife of 54 years to the late Bobby Joe Harris, died on April 16, 2023. Born in Royston, GA she was the daughter of the late Albert Goss Dudley and Myrtle Lee Argo Dudley. She was also preceded in death by her daughter: Peggy Angela Jo Harris and siblings: Albert Dudley and GW Dudley. Violet worked for Superior Pants Company and was a member of Whitehall Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter and son in law: Tracy and Bobby Townsend; grandchildren; Cody (Keri) Townsend and Angeleigh (Scotty Long) Townsend; siblings: Betty Maddox, Beth Dixon, Roger (Elaine) Dudley, Sylvia McGowan, Pansy Moore and Ricky (Joy) Dudley; sisters in law: Ann Dudley, Louise Dudley and Sue Herring; brother in law: Possum Harris numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews and her fur babies: Ruger, Gryffin and Remington. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 at 2PM at Lord and Stephens East Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Edwards Officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 prior to the service. Interment will follow at Danielsville Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Greg Fitzpatrick, Ricky Dudley, Mike Hembree, Jimmy Hembree, Asher Denmark and Scotty Long. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Breast Cancer Foundation.
