Viola Spratlin Dillard, 93, peacefully went home to live eternally with her Lord and Savior in Heaven on October 27, 2014.
Born in Hull, GA , she was the daughter of the late Walter J. and Hattie Davis Spratlin and was the wife of almost 70 years to the late, James H. Dillard. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Florence S. Hardy, Thomas, Harry, Weldon, Sherwood and Viron Spratlin. She was an active member of Hull Baptist Church and retired from the University of Georgia Bookstore.
Survivors include her daughters, Barbara D. Easterwood of Athens, Brenda D. (David) Owens of Hull; sister: Florrie S. Hughes of Birmingham, AL; grandchildren: Amy Murray Long and Jason Murray; great grandchildren: Joanna, Spencer and Trevor Murray and Brandon Long.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 11AM at Hull Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Crowe officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 at the funeral home, Tuesday, October 28, 2014.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hull Baptist Church Building or Bus Fund.
