Victor Paul Froehlke, born on September 9, 1932, in Winona, Minnesota, was called home to his Lord and Savior on March 17, 2014. He was predeceased by his parents, Elsie Dahms and Rev. Paul Froehlke, Lutheran pastor; first wife, Betty Willis; recently deceased granddaughter, Kali Munzel Hendrickson; great grandson, Isaiah. He is survived by his wife of fifteen years, Verna West; five daughters: Susan Harden (Gary), Victoria Munzel (Jeff), Laura Lowe (Dennis), Beth Green (Chuck), Fran Kirby (Joe); many grandchildren and two great grandsons.
He graduated from the College of Medical Technology, MN, and worked as a lab technician in Terry, Montana; drafted and served as a medic in the 101st Army Medical Division, Korea; studied photography at the Brooks Institute of Photography with Cecil B. DeMille's still photographer, William Mortenson; worked for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association for ten years; Director of Materiels, St. Mary's Hospital, Athens, GA. Retired in 1997, Vic pursued his life-long passions of photography, writing, theology, adult Sunday School teaching. He hoped you would remember him as "a sinner saved by grace". 2 pm viewing, 3 pm service and reception are Friday, March 21, Redeemer Presbyterian Church, 165 Pulaski St, Athens, GA.
