Vicki Hix

Watkinsville - Vicki Diane Hix, 55, died June 5, 2011.
Born in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., she was the daughter of Marilyn Holmes Shewbert, of Watkinsville, and the late Franklin Eugene Shewbert. Vicki grew up in Gainesville, Ga., where she graduated from Johnson High School, and later from North Georgia College with a bachelor's degree in Business & Marketing. She was employed with St. Mary's Hospital for 23 years as the assistant director of EMS. To all those who knew Vicki, she was a loving mother, caring friend, and a wonderful person to be around. She will be deeply missed by everyone whose life she touched.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Lane Hix; children, Bradley Lane Hix, Jeffrey Allen Hix, and Tyler Stephen Hix, all of Watkinsville; brothers, Keith (Jeanette) Shewbert, of Norcross, and Gene Shewbert, of Villa Rica; niece, Gena Lynn Shewbert, and nephew, Trey Shewbert.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, at Oconee Chapel Funeral Directors, with the Rev. Dan Fuller officiating. Interment will be in Oconee Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Tuesday.
