Veronica ‘Ronnie’ Virginia Fiore, age 81, passed away on April 7, 2025, due to complications from dementia at a assisted living senior facility in Winder, Georgia. She was born in Queens, New York, on September 1, 1943, and was one of three children born to the late Michael and Mary Taddeo.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Anthony ‘Tony’ Fiore.
Ronnie lived most of her life in New York, 59 years, after her husband’s passing, she decided to move further south to be closer to her children, bouncing between South Carolina, Florida, and ending up in Georgia. She was truly an artist and enjoyed painting with watercolors. Veronica spent her free time playing mahjong, scrabble, or crossword puzzles. Her family would often catch her with a good James Patterson novel.
Ronnie is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Shimalla (Fred), and Allison Fiore, and her son Joseph Fiore (Elizabeth), grandchildren, Alexandra, Corinna, Nicholas, Anthony, Alexa, Christine, Ralph, Deaglán, Olivia, and great grandchildren Michael, Mason, and Maverick. Her surviving siblings include her sisters, Dolores Taddeo and Mary Merchant.
