Watkinsville, GA - Luther Vernon Andrews, 80, died February 11, 2007.
A native of Banks County, he was a son of the late Luther Carson and Theodocia Kelly Andrews. He retired from U. S. Soil Conservation after twenty-eight years and was a member of Mars Hill Baptist Church. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Navy.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 14, 2007, at 1:00 PM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, WEST. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Survivors include his wife, June Thomas Andrews; three sons, Billy Andrews of Bogart, Scott Andrews of Watkinsville, and Lane Andrews of Colbert; eight grandchildren, Kim Carey, Stephanie Dawson, Luke Andrews, Amy Shelnutt, Missy Smith, Meg Andrews, Jessica Crawford, and Jaxson Andrews; four great grandchildren, Morgan Carey, Andon Dawson, Shelby Shelnutt, and Wyatt Shelnutt.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7:00 until 9:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, WEST, is in charge of arrangements.
