Danielsville - Varo Lucille Baxter Adams, 95, widow of Fonnie C. "Fuzz" Adams, passed away April 10, 2009. She was born in Madison County May 28, 1913, to the late Joseph and Callie Scarborough Baxter. She was preceded in death by a son, Burlan T. Adams; sisters Myrtie Baxter, Annie Mae Adams, Margaret Lord; brothers Allen, Roy, Paul and Marvin Baxter, great-granddaughter, Chelsea Richardson and her beloved black poodle, Pepper.
Prior to her passing, she was the oldest member of Union Baptist Church. She was retried from Bluebell Manufacturing Co. Totally devoted to family, she was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and Great-Great Grandmother.
She is survived by a son, Kenneth Riley Adams, and daughter, Peggy Porterfield Weaver; grandchildren, Bron, Derek, Kevin, Todd and Ryan Porterfield, Roxanne Richardson, Patsy Chandler & Lynn Adams; 13 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Bron, Derek, Kevin, Todd and Ryan Porterfield and great great grandson, Hayden Richardson. The family will receive friends Sunday, April 12th at Lord and Stephens Danielsville from 6:30 to 8:30. Services will be Monday, April 13th, 2:00PM at Union Baptist Church with Rev. Walter Singletary and Rev. Billy Owensby officiating.
