IN LOVING MEMORY OF VANESSA LEE VERMA

Heaven gained a beautiful soul on March 2nd as Vanessa Lee Verma peacefully passed away at the age of 42 after a two-year battle with cancer. She lived her life with grace, kindness, and love, bringing joy and laughter to everyone she met. She will be missed beyond words.

Born in Dayton, Ohio, on November 25, 1982, Vanessa dedicated her life to her family and friends, glorifying God with the precious time she spent on Earth. She received her master's degree in fine arts from the University of Georgia—Go, DAWGS! After college, Vanessa was called to serve God through international missions where she met her husband and served the community. Vanessa then utilized her skills and talents to move into a career as a senior graphic designer with Landmark Properties. She was also an active member of Grace Fellowship Church where she continued to grow in her faith as a child of God. 

She leaves behind her loving husband, Rahul Verma; her beloved daughter, Neriah Grace; her devoted parents, Lee and Chong Peterson; her caring father and mother-in-law, Narendra Kumar and Mona Verma; her sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Brad Konwick, and their children Leah and Daniel Konwick; and her brother and sister-in-law, Bhanu and Priyanka Verma, and their children Avni and Vaidant Verma, all of whom will forever carry her love in their hearts.

The family will receive friends from 6 PM to 8 PM at Lord and Stephens West Chapel on Friday, March 7, 2025. A service to honor and celebrate Vanessa’s life will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Grace Fellowship Church. A private interment will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Vanessa’s memory to the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
