Comer - Van Jordan, 41, died Monday, September 17, 2007.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 20, 2007 at 11AM at Lord & Stephens Danielsville Chapel with Revs. Tommy Cowart and Joe Huff officiating. Burial will be held at Gratis Baptist Church Cemetery.
Born in Walton County, he was the son and step-son of Ricky and Sharon Jordan of Ila, and son of Veronica Duncan of Comer. Van was the owner of Air Service Heating and Cooling, as well as, Roger James Tire in Comer. He was a member of Family Worship Center in Danielsville and was on the City Council of Comer, Ga. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Shane and Greg Jordan; maternal grandparents: James and Mary Annie Witcher.
In addition to his parents, Van is survived by his fiancÈ, Tracy Stephens; sisters, Vicki Cleghorne and her husband, Billy, of Comer, Suzie Jordan Sorrow and her significant other, Daniel Thornton, of Ila; paternal grand parents, Tommy and Beatrica Jelf of Lexington, Ky.; paternal step-grandparents, Douglas and Jallie Gordon of Ila; nieces, Cristalyn Cleghorne and Katrina Swain; and God Son, Matthew Roberts.
Visitation will be held tonight from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
Lord & Stephens, Danielsville, is in charge of arrangements.
