Una Melton

Una Faye Melton, 85, of Hull, died Monday, July 20, 2015. Born in Carroll County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Cody Marian and Nora Kathleen Hull. Although she received her Doctorate of Divinity, Emory College, she was a homemaker. In addition to her parents. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Dr. Charles E. Melton. Survivors include one son, Wayne C. (Piedad) Melton; two brothers, Douglas (Janice) Hull of Lexington, NC and Donald Hull of Fancy Gap, VA; two sisters, Inez Quesenberry of Valley Meadows, VA and Layla Edwards of Galax, VA; five grandchildren, Tatiana, Katrina, Vanessa, Bonnie and Suzanne; and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at 10AM at Lord and Stephens, East. Entombment will follow at Athens Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Southern Poverty Law Center, 400 Washington Avenue, Montgomery, AL 36104.
