Bogart - Troy C. Townsend, 68, died Monday, July 10, 2006 at his residence.
Born in Oconee County, he was the son of the late George Millard and Bertha Clack Townsend and the brother to the late Lonnie T. Townsend, Tommy Townsend and John Townsend. He had worked for Davey Tree Company for 25 years.
Survivors include his brother, Gene (Brenda) Townsend of Bogart; sisters, Patricia Cheek of Colbert and Alice (Wesley) Hayley of Seymour, TX and one step-brother, George M. (Johanna) Townsend of Fayetteville, NC.
Funeral services will be held 3pm, Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at Lord & Stephens West Chapel with Rev. Larry Townsend officiating. Visitation will be held tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Bogart Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Youngblood, Wayne Watkins, Leroy Looney, Corey Puckett, Scott Mitchell and Dave Bradshaw.
Memorials may be made to Odyssey Hospice.
